Personality & Traits
| General Overview | He's a lover not a fighter, a thinker not a talker, he's a little on the bohemian side in his private life, but cleans up nicely in a uniform. He thinks carefully about what he's going to say, is very dedicated to his work, xeno-zoology. He's not a party-boy, prefers jazz and classical music, art to sports, reads a lot, plays the cello and the fiddle. He loves all animals and is passionate about their rights and welfare, even as he studies them up close and personal for his job. He's kind, introspective and comes across as very wise for his age. Highly intelligent. He had a choice of being a quantum physicist or a biologist. He chose zoology because it is dealing with living things instead of raw physics. But he has almost enough credits to warrant a second doctorate in quantum physics, but he didn't want to write a second dissertation. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: He's a hard worker w/lots of energy, ethical to a fault and extremely intelligent. He's very patient and not easily rattled. Empathetic and highly intuitive with great people skills, and excellent character judgment. Weaknesses: Cisco appears to lack ambition where his life and career are concerned. He lives in and relishes the present moment, and is not unhappy with where he is. As a result, he is not always striving hard for the next better thing. He knows that goals are important, but that happiness is found here and now. This lack of ambition is not lack of motivation and he is very good at anything he puts his heart into, which at present is being the best xeno-zoologist possible. Cisco can have trouble with delegation, being unwilling to give up parts of a project, a fear or expectation that he can do the job better, or trusting others to do their part effectively or efficiently. Associated with this is a tendency toward perfectionism, which can result in his being overly careful before declaring a project completed. He believes that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that he is not often qualified or entitled to argue with them. Thus, there are occasions when he will avoid confrontation even when he knows his is the better or more accurate understanding of a situation. He will allow the other person freedom to play out a mistake rather than stand solidly on his better judgment. This is sometimes a positive quality in a teacher, but can result in delays in completion of projects. However, he realizes this can be a fault, and does not let it become a danger to the people or animals involved. |
