Mission: Time After Time

///CEO's office////

Ryan poured some cream into his coffee, and watched it swirl for a moment. They were still on yellow alert status, which spelled a long day ahead. Which suited Ryan just fine. He had practically lived in Engineering after the attack for a week.

He looked at his reports. Power levels working at appropriate levels, with extra reserves dedicated for science for the time being to assist with the additional scans. Repairs are the moment were minor. This was a large ship, and there was always something that needed either fixing or maintaining. But for now it was minor.

He turned on the computer and glanced at the reports of the anomaly itself. There were still very few details about it. He thought about what Commander Batenburg said, with it being a cracked viewscreen into infinite realities.

A multiverse. Such a thing was possible. There had certainly been enough reports from Statfleet confirming the theory. It made him uneasy to think about. An infinite version of the Arawyn. An infinite version of himself.

He wondered how many versions of himself were in Starfleet. Maybe he was unique. Maybe those other versions still followed his father's tether, desperately trying to win the affection of a man who couldn't feel anything.

Memories and emotions threatened to nip at him. Not now! He mentally chided himself. He would not, as Doctor Emerson said, go down that rabbit hole. He forced himself to mentally think about the problem instead.

Primarily, how to fix a broken screen in a multiverse. Not exactly a small task. Not one that was as easily recorded in Starfleet.

But even if they did, what would become of the settlement below?

Lieutenant Ryan Collingway
Acting Chief Engineer
USS Arawyn
