The Medical Department stands in full readiness for the Arawyn’s initial mission:

• All staff have reported for duty. All personnel records are in order.
• Department equipment is installed, tested and operating properly as of this time.
• All medical supplies are stocked for a full 5-year mission period.
• Emergency medical protocols have been established, disseminated and drill practiced by the full staff of the Department.
• General crew health practices are established and ready to maintain health.
• About 1/3 of the crew have come into the Sickbay for their incoming evaluation. Reminders have been sent and there is ample time for the remaining 2/3s to check in before mission departure on 242508.20.
• All four Physicians are present aboard the ship, each assigned with a specific priority duty in the event of both Yellow and Red Alert situations.
• All nursing staff are Practitioner certified (CNP Cert Nurse Practitioner), which gives them responsibilities and skill sets very close to those of Personal Care Provider status (MD).
• All shifts are fully staffed with alternates specified in the case of an excess need.
• Both Sickbays – Main on Deck 7 and Alternate on Deck 16 -- are staffed at all times, with at minimum of 2 XMD’s and 2 CNP on Deck 7, and 1 XMD and 1 CNP on Deck 16.
• All staff are fully Emergency First Responder certified and cross trained to maximize utilization.
• All medically cross-trained ship’s personnel are certified First Responders and make up the emergency auxiliary medical staff, (ie: select members of Security, Science, Operations and Engineering).
